## General

    The Food Additives platform digitizes the Codex Alimentarius General Standard for Food Additives (CXS 192-1995). This covers 306 food additives (ingredients) across 266 food categories, with over 5,100 permission rules including usage limits and regulatory conditions.

  <Accordion title="How current is the data?">
    The platform reflects the latest published version of CXS 192-1995. Data is refreshed when Codex publishes updates (typically annually). Your dashboard will always show the most recent data available.

  <Accordion title="Does the platform cover regulations beyond Codex?">
    Currently, the Food Additives platform focuses on the Codex Alimentarius international standard. Support for additional jurisdictions (EU, FDA, FSSAI) is on our roadmap.

  <Accordion title="Can I use the platform for regulatory compliance?">
    The Food Additives platform is an intelligence and planning tool. It helps you understand regulatory permissions quickly, but it does not replace formal regulatory review. Always verify with your regulatory team or consultant before making compliance decisions.

## Access & Tiers

  <Accordion title="What's the difference between Free, Premium, and Enterprise?">
    * **Free:** Industry-filtered access. You see data for your selected industry only. Difficulty scores and commercial opportunity data are not included.
    * **Premium:** Full cross-industry access with difficulty scores, expert review flags, commercial opportunity rankings, and complete condition text.
    * **Enterprise:** Everything in Premium plus deep-dive specialized dashboards and API access (coming soon).

    Contact your account manager or email [support@terces.io](mailto:support@terces.io) to discuss upgrading to Premium or Enterprise.

  <Accordion title="Can I change my industry group on the Free tier?">
    Your industry group is set when your account is created. To change it, contact your account manager.

  <Accordion title="How many users can access my account?">
    Each user gets their own login. Contact your account manager to add additional users to your organization.

## Data & Metrics

  <Accordion title="What does 'Open dose (GMP)' mean?">
    When a usage limit shows "Open dose (GMP)", it means there is no fixed maximum level. The ingredient should be used at the minimum quantity needed to achieve its intended effect, consistent with Good Manufacturing Practice.

  <Accordion title="What do the difficulty ratings mean?">
    Difficulty ratings (Premium/Enterprise only) indicate how complex a regulatory permission is to interpret:

    * **Easy (0):** Straightforward, no special conditions
    * **Standard (1-2):** Some conditions or nuances
    * **Complex (3):** Multiple conditions, careful interpretation needed
    * **Expert Required (4-5):** Significant complexity — consult a regulatory specialist

  <Accordion title="How is the Commercial Opportunity Score calculated?">
    The score (0-100) is a weighted composite of five factors: regulatory difficulty (30%), expert review rate (25%), category reach (20%), condition burden (15%), and standards coverage (10%). Higher scores indicate categories where regulatory complexity creates competitive barriers.

  <Accordion title="What are 'conditions' on a permission rule?">
    Conditions are regulatory notes attached to specific permissions. They may restrict scope ("only in surface treatment"), add exceptions ("except for infant food"), or define specific use cases. A single rule can have multiple conditions.

## Troubleshooting

    This usually means your user attributes haven't been configured yet. Contact your account manager to verify your account setup.

  <Accordion title="I see fewer categories than expected">
    On the Free tier, data is filtered to your selected industry group. If you need access to additional industries, consider upgrading to Premium.
