This guide walks you through accessing the Food Additives analytics portal for the first time.

Step 1: Accept your invitation

You’ll receive an email invitation from your terces.io account manager. Click the link to set up your password.
If you haven’t received an invitation, contact your account manager or email support@terces.io.

Step 2: Log in to the portal

Navigate to your portal URL (provided in your invitation email) and sign in with your credentials.

Step 3: Explore your dashboard

After logging in, you’ll land on your tier-specific dashboard:
Your dashboard is filtered to your selected industry. You’ll see:

KPI Summary

Four key metrics at the top: Total Rules, Unique Ingredients, Total Conditions, and Food Categories — all scoped to your industry.

Ingredient Versatility

A chart showing the top 25 most versatile ingredients in your industry, ranked by how many food categories they’re permitted in.

Category Flexibility

The top 20 most flexible food categories in your industry, ranked by how many ingredients are permitted.

Ingredient Rule Lookup

A searchable table where you can look up any ingredient to see which categories permit it, with usage limits.

Using filters

All dashboards support filtering:
  • Food Category — narrow results to specific categories (e.g., “Ice cream” or “Bread”)
  • Ingredient — search for a specific ingredient by name or INS number
  • Industry Group (Premium/Enterprise only) — switch between industry views
Filters apply across all charts on the dashboard. Set your filters once, and every chart updates automatically.

Understanding the data

Usage limits

Each ingredient-category permission includes a usage limit:

Max 500 mg/kgMaximum permitted level in milligrams per kilogram of food
Open dose (GMP)No numeric limit — use at levels consistent with Good Manufacturing Practice
ExcludedNot permitted in this food category

Difficulty ratings

Difficulty ratings are visible on Premium and Enterprise tiers only.

Expert Required4-5Significant regulatory complexity — seek specialist advice
